Tourism Update: Already before Easter an influx of holidaymakers
A week before the Easter weekend, tourists dominate the streets in and around Palma. On Saturday morning, for example, long queues formed at the entrance to the historic railroad to Sóller, one of the most popular attractions on the island for trips to Sóller and the port. Arenal and the city center of Palma are also bustling with tourists. Tourists are out and about in summer clothes on foot, on bicycles or in rental cars, enjoying the summer temperatures of the island. This is also reflected in the hotel industry. Hotels are already up to 90% fully booked. Experts suspect that many vacationers from Turkey have decided because of the earthquake earlier this year and have now moved the vacation to Mallorca.
